Faith Beyond Familiarity
“A prophet is not without honor except in his own country and in his own house.” Now He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief. – Matthew 13:57–58
Reflection
Many in Jesus’ hometown missed His miracles because unbelief hid behind familiarity. They thought they knew Him, yet overlooked who He truly was. We often do the same, limiting what God can do through those closest to us or even through ourselves. Faith looks beyond the familiar and expects God to move in unexpected ways, through unexpected people, at unexpected times.
Application
Ask God to reveal areas where familiarity has dulled your faith
Choose to see those around you as vessels God can use
Pray with a fresh expectation of His mighty works in your life
Connection
Thank You, Lord, for moving in ways I least expect. Remove every barrier of unbelief and help me honor how You work through others and through me. I trust You for mighty works ahead. In Jesus' name. Amen!
