Give Me This Mountain

Now therefore, give me this mountain of which the LORD spoke in that day … It may be that the LORD will be with me, and I shall be able to drive them out as the Lord said. – Joshua 14:12

Reflection

At eighty-five, Caleb wasn’t looking for comfort—he was claiming the mountain God had promised him years before. God’s keeping power makes us more than conquerors, no matter our age or opposition. The Lord doesn’t allow the mountains in our lives to defeat us, but uses them to display His strength through us. Each mountain becomes a stage for His glory and a testimony that faith still conquers giants.
